We are seeking an accomplished Private Cloud Enterprise (PCE) Lead Solution Technologist to drive technical leadership for HPE’s portfolio of private cloud offerings, including Connected, Disconnected, and Edge-to-Cloud solutions. This is a Senior Principal Technologist, Cloud Development role, requiring exceptional architectural expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to influence outcomes across HPE and the broader industry.
In this role, you will collaborate with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and customers to define technical blueprints, ensure architectural integrity, and deliver innovative and scalable solutions. Your ability to balance business priorities with deep technical execution will shape the future of HPE’s private cloud portfolio, deliver measurable value to our customers, and position HPE as a leader in enterprise cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Lead the overall architecture and technical strategy for HPE’s Private Cloud Enterprise (PCE) portfolio, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and alignment with industry standards.
Partner with the E2E Solution Architect, Solution Owner, and Senior Engineering Management to provide technical oversight, ensuring architectural integrity and consistency across all PCE offerings.
Define and maintain architectural standards, best practices, and technical roadmaps to guide the evolution of private cloud solutions.
Customer Engagement
Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to analyze, clarify, and prioritize requirements, translating them into actionable engineering plans.
Serve as a trusted advisor and technical authority in high-stakes customer engagements, including executive briefings, escalations, and strategic planning sessions.
Advocate for customer needs within HPE by aligning feature requests and architectural priorities with business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product management, sales, and go-to-market teams to ensure technical solutions align with customer needs and deliver measurable business value.
Collaborate with global engineering teams, delivery teams, and other private cloud architects to ensure alignment with broader architectural initiatives and product roadmaps.
Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation across geographically distributed teams, ensuring productivity and alignment across time zones (US, Europe, India).
Required Qualifications
Architectural Expertise:
Proven experience designing and implementing complex, enterprise-grade systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
Deep understanding of hybrid and private cloud technologies, including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and containerization.
Technical Proficiency:
Expertise in automation and IaaS tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and familiarity with software development methodologies and toolsets.
Strong knowledge of physical and virtual infrastructure, IT operations management (ITOM), and IT service management (ITSM).
Agile Leadership:
Proficiency in Agile processes and tools, including backlog grooming, Epic elaboration, defect management, and reporting (e.g., Ji
