We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Fiscal team and help maintain the integrity of our financial systems. This role plays a key part in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements and audit schedules
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
  • Maintain fixed assets and coordinate online systems (HUD, APG, etc.)
  • Support year-end audits, including 990 and UFR prep
  • Oversee reporting such as 1099s, sales tax, and PILOTs
  • Perform account analysis and special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit experience a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and Massachusetts nonprofit procedures
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Blackbaud
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and communication skills
