Where the chemistry happens…

 

The Maintenance Specialist Cogen/Projects is to act as the site leader for the execution and planning of Cogen-related maintenance activities, and strategy implementation. Additionally, the specialist will act as the maintenance representative for maintenance-related projects within Utilities and will work closely with the Asset and Reliability teams to execute the strategies defined.  The specialist will also act as the main contact/interface with the Cogen OEM and other associated experts in the field. 

As a Maintenance Specialist Cogen/Projects, You Create Chemistry By...

 

• Assisting Asset and Reliability teams with defining of work scopes for Cogen, and associated equipment outages, PM strategies implementation, and the creation of precision maintenance procedures, inspection, and testing plans
• Controlling and maintaining Cogen special tools according to the best engineering practices and maintaining mechanical integrity documentation for Cogen, as defined in the mechanical integrity strategies.
• Providing support for Cogen capital projects and other maintenance projects within Utilities
• Challenge OEM suppliers' recommendation for the best cost benefit approach
• Acting as field lead for maintenance and turnaround work executed for Cogen and its associated HDRE.
• Conducting field and data troubleshooting of Cogen and associated HDRE equipment
• Managing spare parts inventory for Cogen by:
  • Providing feedback to vendor/repair shops and for modifications or adjustments needed to spare parts.
  • Working closely with the Asset and Reliability engineers to implement spare parts strategies defined by the equipment owner
  • Working closely with the warehouse manager to ensure spare parts on order are verified
  • Following critical spare parts repair in outside shops (witness checks, critical dimension checks, etc.)

If you...

 

• Have experience in Asset, Reliability and HDRE-related equipment.
• Possess 8 years of mechanical background 
• Have detailed planning skills
• Manage Cogen’s spare parts inventory.
• A Millwright/Machinist apprenticeship certification would be a plus
