Summary

This role is responsible for the administration of the Azure and AWS cloud platforms, Azure DevOps, and container orchestration platforms like Red Hat OpenShift and Azure Kubernetes Services.  The selected candidate will create Infrastructure as Code and automate deployments via Azure DevOps pipelines.  This role works with various cloud governance and infrastructure groups to identify and remediate governance, security, and operational issues in the cloud platforms.

 

What You'll Do

• Automate Azure deployment processes with Azure DevOps pipelines using Bicep, ARM templates, YAML, Azure CLI, PowerShell, or other languages.

• Work collaboratively with application development teams to assist in the design, deployment, and troubleshooting of cloud-hosted applications.

• Administer Azure DevOps in both cloud and on-prem environments.

• Have a solid understanding of cloud networking capabilities, including load balancers, web application firewalls, network security groups, and VPN connectivity.

• Administer the Azure and AWS cloud platforms including monitoring and reporting.

• Develop and implement various controls (policy, processes, naming conventions, etc...) to ensure that cloud deployments comply with SRP governance requirements.

• Exhibit excellent customer service skills.

• Utilize Azure DevOps and Agile Kanban work management processes.

• Participate in a culture of continuous learning by staying current on relevant cloud training and/or certifications.

Experience

• For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).

Education

A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
