Job Description
• Conducts searches for suitable job openings for clients, comparing client qualifications with employer's requirements
• Develops a wide variety of job opportunities for candidates
• Establishes and maintains active and frequent contact with employers •
Develops and maintains detailed knowledge of the local labor market
• Establishes rapport with area businesses; maintains ongoing relationships with businesses
• Works with businesses to identify job openings, alternative work activities, and training initiatives
• Assists employers in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified applicants
• Maintains a current listing of local job opportunities
• Keeps project staff apprised of local business needs and job placement opportunities
• Works with case management staff and participants to facilitate job placements
• Enlists cooperation of community and business leaders to help increase awareness of available workforce services in the community
• Maintains follow-up contact with employers to determine satisfaction with services and plan for quality improvement
• Arranges for employers to speak to candidates about employment and employer expectations
• Sets up job fairs and employer hiring events. Flexible to occasionally work outside of normal business hours for events and/or to meet deadlines
• Conducts On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Transitional jobs placement goals, ensuring alignment with client needs and employer requirements
• Coordinates the execution of OJT agreements and Transitional job agreement between clients and employers, ensuring clarity and compliance with regulations
• Manages OJT payroll invoices, and Transitional jobs participant timesheets ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments
• Conducts OJT client and Transitional jobs evaluations to assess progress and effectiveness of training programs
• Collaborates with stakeholders to optimize OJT and Transitional jobs placements and enhance outcomes for both clients and employers
• Coordinates MCWDB job postings to online job boards, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accessibility to job seekers
• Works with clients in resume workshops, interview preparedness, and resume revision to enhance their job search skills
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years in workforce development, business outreach, employment services, or related fields.
- Proven experience in employer engagement, job development, or recruitment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with employers and community organizations.
- Knowledge of the local labor market and employment trends.
- Proficient in resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills, including time management and attention to detail for managing job postings, agreements, and payroll processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside of regular business hours to support events or meet deadlines.

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday with a pay range of $28/hr - $32/hr depending on experience.
