Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Internal Evaluation Program Manager is responsible for the quality of the Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) and has the authority for the daily management and implementation of the IEP.  The IEP manager is Lead Auditor for the company and has oversight over the other PSA auditors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and management of the Internal Evaluation Program (IEP). 
  • Responsible for the performance of the IEP program.   
  • Responsible to manage the content and currency of the IEP Manual. 
  • Manage the IEP program to ensure the organization is: 
    • Complying with applicable regulations standards. 
    • Satisfying stated operational needs.
    • Identifying areas requiring improvement. 
    • Identifying hazards to operations.  
    • Assessing the effectiveness of safety risk controls.  
  • Responsible to disseminate information to management and non-management operational personnel as appropriate to ensure an organization awareness of relevant quality assurance issues and results.  
  • Present audit and evaluation trend data to Senior Leadership. 
  • Publish a Quarterly Audit report for Senior Leadership and the Accountable Executive.   
  • Lead the Operations Quality Assurance Auditor.  
  • Lead a group of impartial/functionally independent Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) that are named as auditors across the organization to help supplement the audit program.  
  • Ensure auditors are trained and evaluated to perform audit duties in accordance with standards and procedures as established through the IAEP. 
  • Conduct and oversee the training and qualification program that ensures all auditors that conduct auditing under the IEP: 
    • Have the knowledge, skills and work experience needed to effectively assess areas to the management system and operations that will be audited. 
    • Maintain an appropriate level of current audit experience.  
    • Complete initial and recurrent auditor training necessary to effectively conduct audits. 
  • Input audit data into the Safety Management System (SMS).  
  • Participate and present IEP results in the SMS data analysis group, standards board and company standards board meeting.
