*Please note, this position can be based in Irvine, CA, Austin, TX, or remoteThe Business Development Team Lead is a player-coach that works to develop and manage our growing Business Development Representative (BDR) and Marketing Development Representative (MDR) team. In this role, the Team Lead will be responsible for driving sales execution and performance across the team, working on both inbound and outbound programs. The Team Lead will develop the team, measure BDR and MDR performance, monitor & coach daily activities such as phone call & email outreach, implement optimizations, and work across both Sales and Marketing organizations to develop and hand-off high-quality opportunities. The Team Lead will also be responsible for handling warm outbound leads in conjunction with our MDR to help us meet our monthly and quarterly meeting quota. This is a high-impact role that is critical to Restaurant365 as we expand our go-to-market engine and rapidly grow top-line bookings. 

How you'll add value:

  • Organize and plan day-to-day strategies to motivate, coach, and counsel BDRs and MDRs
  • Own a quota number for warm outbound leads and ensure timely follow up from the most recent marketing campaigns
  • Ensure all routing questions are answered immediately to help BDRs setup meetings as soon as possible
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s with team members and daily check in calls with each BDR and MDR in order to provide coaching and guidance for success
  • Monitor/Analyze BDR performance and take accountability for driving improvements in response times, call volume, program growth, sales productivity and opportunity quality
  • Conduct weekly scorecard reviews to identify gaps in performance and areas for improvement
  • Training and development and building out an ongoing skills analysis aimed at designing a scalable curriculum for improvement/advancement
  • Drive and motivate the team around the key objectives
  • Develop ideas and suggestions to enhance performance including technology needs, workflow design, commissions/bonuses, contests, leadership development, training needs, and quality programs that are provided to leadership
  • Align with Sales leaders to enable communication and support BDR career development
  • Own the CRM process for BDRs and recommend process improvements and optimizations
  • Provide ongoing and corrective feedback in a timely and constructive manner
  • Deliver regular reports of KPIs to leaders across the business
  • Ensure and promote a team-based environment which delivers best-in-class meeting and opportunity results
  • Work hand-in-hand with the demand generation team to optimize marketing campaigns and ensure timely and relevant follow up
  • Coach and provide career development guidance to BDRs through performance metrics and evaluations and providing updates to the Director, Demand Generation
  • Manage incoming sales emails and phone calls from our general sales and marketing inboxes
  • Ensure inter-department collaboration across Marketing, Product, and Sales operations
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable work experience required; master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of extensive business development and sales development experience in a high-paced sales environment 
  • Proven track record in B2B sales and in leading teams and others to success
  • Experience with data analysis and making data-driven team decisions
  • Proficiency with CRM and outreach applications (i.e. Salesforce, Salesloft, and Orum preferred)
  • Strong time management skills and being able to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • A high level of drive and competitiveness—You always want to win! 
  • Familiarity with software sales preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of motivation
  • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills and abilities
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with all Microsoft software products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
