Job Description

Your department: 

Statkraft’s ambition is to grow in the wind, solar and hydro generation business throughout the Nordics. You will work within the Nordics – Market Liaison unit to represent the Nordics Business Area and our views towards our colleagues in M as well as support the rest of the Nordics organization.  

As a Senior Commercial Analyst in the Nordics – Market Liaison unit, your tasks will include: 

  • Research and analysis of Nordics market views (includes Norway / Sweden) 
  • Understand Statkraft’s LPF’s (Long Term Price Forecast) views and be able to challenge them (if and where needed) 
  • Participate in revenue evaluations for assets in M&A processes related to operational assets in the Nordics 
  • Engage with experts within and outside the company on revenue-impacting factors 
  • Assess the underlying fundamentals driving the value of Statkraft’s asset portfolio analytically and qualitatively 
  • Support Development teams / strategy projects where needed 

Interfaces / Stakeholders: 

  • Various asset owners of BA Nordics & the Nordics Development Team 
  • Other teams under SVP Ownership and Portfolio including VP Portfolio 
  • Various teams in the M organization including but not limited to MA, ME, MR 
  • Various price forecasting teams within Statkraft 

Qualifications

About you: 

We look for an experienced Senior Commercial Analyst with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. That includes knowledge in: 

  • Excellent university degree in economics, engineering, or science 
  • Some years of experience within the energy industry 
  • Profound understanding of the dynamics of electricity markets and their impact on asset revenues 
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into concrete and easily understandable recommendations and actions 
  • Experience in leading projects and excellent communication and facilitation skills 
  • Proactive and independent way of working, high reliability, strong communication skills 

English language fluency is necessary, Norwegian language fluency is preferred.
