TY-Maintenance Technician I

Job Description

Grace is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance team! This role reports to Corey Stephens and is located at Tyrone, PA.  This position will be responsible for general maintenance work and will provide maintenance support to production.  We are looking for a candidate who is team oriented and who takes pride in their work and displays a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Install, dismantle and repair process equipment, piping, valves, insulation, pumps, fans, blowers, bearings, mechanical seals, and plant utilities including boiler, cooling tower, chiller, vacuum jets, vacuum pumps, compressors and scrubbers.
• Perform required lubrication including; cleaning, oiling, and greasing of machinery.
• Install and maintain temperature, pressure, and flow indicating/recording/controlling devices, pneumatic devices, and other mechanical control mechanisms.
• Cut, braze, weld, solder, etc. metals as required in the repair, maintenance and installation of plant machinery and other facilities.  Operates oxy-acetylene, metallic arc, and cutting tools.
• Cut, thread, bend, ream out or perform other work on pipe lines using pipefitting tools and machinery.
• Ensure that all equipment is operated safely and that work areas and equipment are kept clean and orderly.  Adhere to all plant policies and rules on safety, fire protection, good housekeeping, operating practices and personal conduct.

Physical Requirements and Environment

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years prior experience
