The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Events, the Senior Manager, Client Events will be responsible for driving and executing an effective external events strategy with a heightened focus on building and maintaining client relationships. The Senior Manager, Client Events will lead the strategic planning, execution, and management of external events and sponsorship opportunities. This role requires a creative, dynamic, and results-driven professional who can elevate the company’s brand presence and generate revenue through strategic partnerships and event management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive event and sponsorship strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Identify key industry events and sponsorship opportunities that align with the company’s target audience and marketing objectives.
  • Identify and secure strategic sponsorships to enhance event reach and impact.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential sponsors and partners.
  • Define and manage a programming and events process and calendar for external client events, round tables and external programs executed across the firm.
  • Evaluate existing significant sponsorships in-place and refine our approach to major sponsorships going forward.
  • Work closely with communications, digital, thought leadership and marketing teams to:

a) drive consistent messaging and targeted/digital outreach, and b) leverage the firm’s proprietary IP as we engage with client events and programming.

  • Develop and manage the events budget, ensuring cost-effective and high-impact event execution along with ROI metrics; identify and implement efficiencies.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in event management and sponsorships preferably in a fast paced, matrixed environment.
  • Experience in client and sponsor relations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events and securing sponsorships.
  • Professional presence to gain the confidence of senior leaders across the company.
  • Strong organizational, time management and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information (internal and external) with the utmost discretion.
  • Experience in understanding business principles and the complexities of a large, global corporation
  • A capable leader with the ability to marshal resources and direct teams through influence, rather than authority
