Senior UX Researcher (remote)

• This position is fully remote
• Expertise in User Research best practices and methods
• Experience in conducting User Research for enterprises with large applications, specifically search engines
• Years of Experience:  Minimum 5 years of relevant experience including certifications in relevant UX Software
• Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work or training experience
• Acceptable Substitution for Degree: 4 years of additional hands on experience in a relevant field and a high school diploma

The Federal Civilian business unit supports a wide range of customers that span the federal, commercial, and non-profit space. Our customers include the General Services Administration, Office of Personnel Management, PAN Foundation, Library of Congress, Social Security Administration, Health and Human Services and the USDA US Forest Service. We partner with these agencies to build new capabilities, deliver products, establish data as a strategic asset for informed decision-making, modernize legacy systems, and build the digital service infrastructure necessary to scale their mission impact by applying approaches proven in consumer technology.

What you’ll do

As an Ad Hoc  UX Researcher, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team, working closely with stakeholders, product managers, and software engineers on a mix of generative and evaluative research studies. You’ll be planning, prioritizing, and conducting research from primary and secondary sources of information, organizing and analyzing this material, and preparing written and oral reports for the team. Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and facilitating feedback sessions based on a product team’s questions and goals
• Prioritizing research projects based on team needs and goals, while balancing research team capacity
• Planning and facilitating collaboration between researchers, product team members, and stakeholders
• Influencing research strategy for your area of work
• Strategizing research participant outreach efforts
• Providing mentorship and guidance to newer or more junior researchers on the team
• Contributing to Ad Hoc research operations and practices

What you'll bring

• Some federal contracts require U.S. citizenship to be eligible for employment
