As Manager Digital Automation, you will execute the annual digitalization projects that emanate from the digital transformation strategy of the organization. You will be a project team member and, on some occasions, assume responsibility for managing some of our digitalization and automation projects to deliver on time, budget, and projected performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or execute digitalization initiatives to enhance Operational Efficiency 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Operational Excellence and Engineering) to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization based on digitalization.

• Report metrics to measure the effectiveness of digital initiatives and track progress against established KPIs (Adoption Rate)

• Support site engineers in analysing data to drive insights and continuous improvements.

• Train operations workforce in using digital and automation systems.

• Support Operational Excellence function in driving the change management associated with the digital transformation.

• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and resources for the Digitalization and automation CAPEX projects, and ensure that they are delivered on time, within budget, and delivering at the projected performance.

• Manage relationships with vendors and technology partners to ensure that the organization is getting the most value from its digital investments.

Educational Background and prior professional experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Mathematics, computer sciences or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in automation and control systems in the minerals processing industry, and mining industry, with a focus on manufacturing execution systems, operational reporting, and process optimization. Experience in other Industrial sectors could be also valued for this job.

• Desirably some years of experience in operations as a site, production, maintenance manager or process engineer with a track record of delivering operational improvements and cost savings by applying Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.

• Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies will be valued for this job

Languages requirements

• Fluent in English

• Spanish, French, German, and Mandarin will be taken into consideration in the evaluation of the candidate.
