Job Description

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Publicis Sapient you will help to realize software quality by streamlining testing with a strong set of test development skills and automation tools/frameworks.  You will collaborate closely with business and development teams as part of the practices defined by Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD)/Behavior Driven Development (BDD).  You will use your test automation skills and testing mindset to drive various types of testing for software solutions. You will play a variety of roles including conceptualization of quality assurance and test plans, hands-on development of the java technology stack to support Gherkin/Cucumber based tests, implementing and executing test automation, test reporting and creating relevant documentation to support overall application compliance for complex, multi-tier applications. 

Qualifications

Responsibilities Include:

• Evaluate and design testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards
• Perform system analysis, assess risk, and develop strong test strategies by analyzing the design and technical specifications, and by collaborating with developers
• Perform debugging and root cause analysis of product issues or defects
• Work closely with developers in all phases of the SDLC
• Develop and write testing scripts and plans to ensure that software functions as expected
• Prepare complex data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows
• Design, build and maintain BDD test automation tools and frameworks using best practices and functional programming methodologies
• Integrate with deployment infrastructure to establish a continuous build and test cycle
• Report, document, and communicate failures discovered through testing with the affected teams

Requirements and Experience Guidelines:  

• US Citizenship or permanent residency

• Deep knowledge of software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies in Agile environment

• Experience in conducting complex and/or large-scale application and/or systems testing activities with a high degree of independence
• Tooling: Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo/Jenkins, confluence, Jmeter, Postman, SQL, AWS, and test automation framework such as Junit/TestNg, Cucumber in intellij/Eclipse
• Proficient programming skills in Java with Selenium, AWS CDK
• Has the ability to look for solutions to overcome obstacles during testing processes
