About the role
Under direct supervision of work assignments, performs a variety of duties to maintain the necessary degree of cleanliness and sanitary condition within the plant and mill to assure the highest possible attainable level of product safety and in meeting government inspection requirements.

- Break down, clean and sanitize food processing and mill equipment.
- Maintain and understand Master Sanitation Schedule for area of responsibility.
- Use and understand the mixing of chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
- Application of rodent and insect control programs.
- Perform all sanitation cleaning duties as assigned.
- Perform general structural cleaning of walls, floors, vents, lights, pipes, ceilings and windows.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, drains, toilets, sinks, showers and break area.
- Police grounds for debris removal.
- Perform all other tasks assigned.

- Team Lead
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis and be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted on an infrequent basis. Must be able to work above ground floor elevations and be able to work in environments above 90 degrees on a continuous basis.
- Ability to learn how to operate a variety of sanitation equipment as necessary (i.e., automatic floor scrubbing equipment, high pressure washers, vacuums, hand jacks and manlifts.
- Use a variety of hand tools such as scrapers, ladders, screwdrivers, pliers, air hose, cleaning cloths, etc.
- Ability to understand the mixing of cleaning chemicals.
- Familiarity with formal safety procedures in order to maintain the safety of the work environment.
- Must possess good vision with depth perception for detailed cleaning and be able to hear audible alarms on equipment as well as to pick up verbal communication in noisy environments.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crawl and climb on a semi-frequent basis.
