Job Description

Role: Database Administrator/Architect

Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid) 1 day in a week onsite [Candidate need to be Onsite once in a week]

Duration: Long term

Job Description: 

• Responsible for enterprise-wide data design, balancing optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors.
• Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts.
• Focuses on enterprise-wide data modeling and database design.
• Defines data architecture standards, policies, and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes, and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects.
• Manages and maintains all production and non-production databases.
• Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration.
• Performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing requirements.
• This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance, and cost.

Experience: 

• Typically has 7 to 10 years of experience with large and complex database management systems.

DBA/Architect will:

•  Serve as Database Administrator / Data Architect on DB efforts following industry "best practices".
• Have 7-10 years of experience with large and complex database management systems.
• Be proficient with a wide array of Database platforms and concepts (Oracle, SQL Server, Azure SQL) and technologies including the management and administration of stored procedures and functions, backup and recovery, data analysis and reporting, security, performance tuning, and development.
• Have comprehensive knowledge in database infrastructure, maintenance, administration, design, implementations, data modeling, and solutions.
• Have significant knowledge of Data Warehouse and OLAP/OLTP reporting.
• Possess expertise in large high availability systems design, implementations, performance tuning, security compliance, monitoring, upgrades, patching, and maintenance with transactional production 24x7 systems.
• Recommend and approve the design of physical data models and structures.
• Lead database conversion and migration activities.
• Provide backup and recovery procedures as needed for all production and test databases.
• Have experience with SQL, TSQL, PL/SQL, and ODATA.
• Understand data sensitivity and PPI such as credit card information.
• Have familiarity in Azure Power Platform and tools, designing and maintaining Power Apps, and working with Dynamics 365 data management.
• Be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Have experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and later.
• Have strong, highly technical communication skills.
• Be a user advocate with the business partners and end users.
• Collaborate with other designers, project managers, and business stakeholders to prioritize activities throughout the software development life-cycle and deliver high-quality experiences in time.
• Azure, MS Dynamics CRM, SSIS & SSRS experience a plus.

Complexity: 

• Defines and plans database architectures for enterprise systems.
• Supports multiple services and multiple databases of medium to high complexity (complexity defined by database size, technology used, systems feeds, and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility of data.
