   POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: 

 

        The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining all plant equipment in a

   serviceable condition, preparing, in conjunction with production supervisors, daily work

   schedules, advising and controlling the work of various hourly maintenance personnel, and

   maintaining appropriate records as directed.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

• Supervises, coordinates, and manages the work of all hourly maintenance crew to ensure efficient group operations. This includes immediate repairs as well as preventative maintenance to equipment.

 

• Resolve existing maintenance problems in a rapid and timely fashion, and remains constantly alert to correct potential maintenance problems.

 

• Maintains proper level of safety and housekeeping among subordinates throughout his respective area as required.

 

• Adheres to and ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations and keeps appropriate personnel advised of actual or potential employee relations issues.

 

• Assist in development and implementation of a Preventative and Predictive maintenance program within the SAP program.

 

• Supervises, leads, develops, and coaches maintenance team members.

 

• Institute employee training programs for all maintenance personnel.

 

• Participate in daily, weekly walk throughs with Facilities Manager to discuss opportunities both on the production floor as well as throughout the facility.
