JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Lead Database Administrator Department/s: Information Technology – AWAC Services Job Summary: Allied World is seeking an energetic and detailed minded individual to lead our global database operations team. The Lead DBA will be accountable for managing the support operation of production and lower environment databases along with providing expertise and best practices guidance across the board. The position requires an individual who is accomplished in the present but also with an innovative mindset for the future. Responsibilities: • Plan and manage capacity of database management systems • Lead, build and manage on and offshore global Database support teams • Schedule Database patching for production and lower environments • Plan and strategize backup and DR processes • Provide audit and governance requirements • Maintaining detailed technical documentation • Leads efforts to define database strategy, architecture, standards and procedures to preserve the integrity and security of company data resources
