PURPOSE

Supervise the Count Operations including the daily coin and currency drops and subsequent coin/currency processing. Ensure that all policies, procedures, Tribal, and Federal regulatory guidelines are complied with to ensure security of assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES   

  • Table Games Drop Management: Oversee sorting, counting, and recording of table games drop boxes.
  • Currency Operations: Supervise currency drop and box counts.
  • Ticket Redemption Supervision: Oversee loading of ticket redemption cassettes.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and maintain count room equipment.
  • Count Room Upkeep: Ensure cleanliness and organization of the count room.
  • Leadership and Development: Act as a role model, coach team members, and address performance issues.
  • Performance Recognition: Reward consistent superior performance.
  • Process Improvement: Challenge and improve departmental processes.
  • Departmental Coordination: Partner with other departments for guest satisfaction and efficient operations.
  • Compliance and Attendance: Adhere to attendance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Accurate Documentation: Complete and deliver paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Security and Procedure Compliance: Ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.
  • Workflows and Scheduling: Prepare work schedules and expedite workflow.
  • Instruction Issuance: Provide written and oral instructions as needed.
  • Incident Reporting: Document unusual occurrences.
  • Inventory Management: Control supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Reporting: Complete daily departmental reports.
  • Staffing Support: Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating personnel.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  

Education and Experience:  

  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD). 
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to handle large sums of cash and vital Casino documents
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time and the ability to work under pressure and under emergency situations. 
  • Any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position. 

Skills and Abilities:  

  • Literate and fluent in basic English
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when dealing with employee conflicts.
  • Must possess general business knowledge and have a strong numeric aptitude.
  • Must have basic computer skills 

Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
