Salary: $70,000+ (Determined on Education Level and Experience) 

Job Purpose:   
Provide oversight for the day-to-day operations of an Early Childhood Education program. Monitor quality of programming, engage in quality improvement activities, and participate in program development.

Essential Job Duties:  
•    Provide oversight to assigned Early Childhood Education program by ensuring compliance with licensing, Council on Accreditation, National Association for the Education of Young Children, Title XX, and Nebraska Department of Education requirements.
•    Provide first and second level supervision to Center staff, including: hiring, orientation, and performance management in accordance with CSI policies and procedures.
In addition, supervision includes:
o    Monthly in-office supervision of staff that addresses the primary challenges experienced by the staff in collaborating with each client.
o    Monthly meetings with staff groups, informing them of common issues and facilitating joint discussion and problem-solving.
o    Careful monitoring of the work of the Early Childhood Education Senior Specialists, including monitoring of coaching activities. 
o    Annual performance reviews for assigned staff and 90-day reviews for new staff.
o    Working with the Director of Early Childhood Education to improve retention of staff. 
o    Following hiring procedures to fill staff vacancies; and
o    Following agency procedures for disciplinary action. 
•    Provide oversight and training of personnel and volunteers. Conduct program orientation for new hires. Plan, schedule, and monitor ongoing staff development. 
•    Meet individually with parents who have concerns or complaints, representing the Early Childhood Education division and the agency and problem-solving with parents regarding the care of their children. 
•    Complete tours and orientations and facilitate group parent meetings.
•    Complete staff schedule and ensures teacher/child ratio is maintained. 
•    Assist Director of Early Childhood Education in development and implementation of programs and projects. Provide Director of Early Childhood Education with input for program direction.
•    Maintain fiscal accountability for assigned Center by assisting in the development of the annual budget and monitoring adherence to the budget. Supervise the program components of billing and collection.
•    Oversee food and dietary program, including menu planning, consultation with dietician, completion of program records, purchasing of food items. Completes monthly supply inventory.
•    Monitor facility and notify maintenance of maintenance needs.
•    Complete required duties for contracted partners.
•    Input program data and forward to CQI coordinator.
•    Schedule and ensure timely completion of employee physicals, personnel file documentation, etc.
•    Oversee maintenance of Early Childhood Education records and files. Maintain confidentiality as appropriate to information. 
•    Purchase program supplies. 

Other Duties:
•    Complete other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
•    Complete training necessary to perform position and necessary for professional growth.
•    Facilitate a team atmosphere by working in partnership with other agency staff and promote a positive working environment; and,
•    Represent the agency and programs in a positive manner to clients, community organizations and the public, in general
•    Attend agency team meetings and committee meetings as assigned. 
QualificationsJob Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or equivalent.
•    4+ years childcare experience.
•    2+ years supervisory experience.
•    Ability to respond and be sensitive to cultural differences in the agency’s client population.
•    Ability to interact with clients with sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics in the service population.
•    Strong direct service professional skills, including:
o    Commitment to empowering others to solve their own problems.
o    Belief in a nurturing family as the ideal environment for a person and that people have the capacity to grow and change.
o    Ability to develop respectful relationship with persons served to help them gain skills and confidence.
o    Ability to collaborate with coworkers and other professionals, and service providers; and,
o    Ability to maintain a helping role, intervene appropriately to meet service goals, and set appropriate limits.
•    Knowledge of the following:
o    Developmental stages.
o    Effective childcare discipline management.
o    Appropriate parent and child communication.
o    Effective classroom environments specific to ages/stages.
o    Standards for high quality care, and licensing and accreditation requirements;
