Job Description

The Sr. Project Engineer will perform complex, specialized project management and engineering functions, and help manage the company’s construction activities and capital improvements projects. More specifically, they will perform the following professional duties:

  • Review construction documents, analyze and interpret engineering plans, specialized contract terms, and schedules; identify potential issues and communicate findings.
  • Advise on appropriate construction methods; assist in the review and management of specialized construction records, and related contract documents; engage in construction assessment and studies, preparation of plans and documentation for bid processes, RFI, Submittal and Change Order logs and replies, and otherwise verifying the accuracy and completeness of all documents to start remodel and improvement projects.
  • Manage and coordinate construction projects, direct and supervise construction professionals, schedule changes, implement new or modified plans, review and assist with invoice processing, and project closeout consistent with applicable project parameters.
  • Review and maintain updated budgets, and estimates, and keep team abreast of updated information on cost, revenue, and cash flow information for multiple projects.
  • Perform regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with plans, and identify and report deficiencies, and deviations from plans, safety codes, and applicable regulations.
  • Provide regular progress reports—including photos, recording, and documenting rough MEP at designated intervals; and advise regarding applicable engineering and construction related issues as they arise.
  • Requires up to 30% domestic travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or a related position.
  • Alternatively, in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field plus two (2) years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or a related position.
  • Experience must include the following: Design Software AutoCAD, Procore, Bluebeam, P6 and Wrike.

Rate of Pay:  $153,816.00 per year (+ benefits)
