The Strategic Finance team drives leverage and investing in opportunities for growth. Our team is tasked with building targets, setting budgets, and helping leaders execute against plans. This encompasses a wide breadth of business partnership and reporting for the Executive Team and Board of Directors. This dynamic team is responsible for in-depth data analysis and strategic awareness that drive decisions and the overall direction of the company.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, GTM at Vanta, you will be a financial liaison between the Strategic Finance team and the Go-to-Market functions at the company. You will be instrumental in budgeting, forecasting, providing strategic guidance, and completing various projects related to investments Vanta makes across marketing, sales, post-sales and partnership activities. This role will report into the Senior Manager of Strategic Finance, GTM and provides the opportunity to blend financial know-how, thought leadership, and business partnership.
What you’ll do as a Senior Financial Analyst at Vanta:
Collaborate cross-functionally: Act as a trusted Finance partner for go-to-market teams and their leaders. Enable key stakeholders on insights produced and provide recommendations to improve business outcomes.
Exhibit financial expertise: Help drive the budget, operating model, and long-term financial plan for Vanta go-to-market initiatives
Deliver strategic insights: Lead financial efforts and provide insights on various projects such as sales team resourcing and forecasting, return on investment for marketing spend, top-line ARR and KPI reporting, and external benchmarking
Think critically: Identify topics that merit further investigation and utilize data and frameworks to provide new perspective
Deliver results: Prepare recommendations on incremental investment opportunities by weighing financial and strategic trade-offs
How to be successful in this role:
Experience: 4+ years of corporate finance, investment banking or comparable experience with fast-paced start-up (ideally SaaS) in Strategic Finance or FP&A
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides. Bonus for experience in SQL and NetSuite
Analytical Mindset: Strong capability to tackle projects, extract key insights, and translate them into actionable strategies that drive business impact.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively and establish relationships with business partners. Bonus for experience partnering with go-to-market functions.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying financial insights in a comprehensible and engaging manner.
Accountability: Be highly entrepreneurial and comfortable owning your work in a fast-paced environment
Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or other analytical discipline

We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. We hire for this position at multiple levels internally and the base pay range for this position is $142,000 - $167,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan
