Senior Physical Design CAD - Construction

In this role, you’ll be supporting silicon design teams by developing and deploying the latest construction physical design tools, flows, and methodology on cutting edge technology.  You’ll work with EDA vendors to deploy the most up-to-date methods to our design teams while also driving resolution of critical issues.  You’ll focus on the backend physical design implementation while still collaborating with Front End RTL teams and Back End verification teams to ensure a smooth RTL2GDS process.  

Responsibilities

• Help develop and support EDA construction flows across multiple projects 

• Work with external EDA silicon vendors to validate latest tool features and resolve gating issues 

• Develop methodology that can be adopted by design teams for efficient execution 

• Architect code in a scalable and sustainable manner 

• Drive convergence of flows and methods of physical design execution 

• Collaborate with silicon signoff verification teams to ensure alignment in expectations between constructed database and verification techniques  

• Collaborate with front end teams to ensure high quality RTL handoff  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience
  • OR Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 1+years experience of EDA tools like Synopsys Fusion Compiler and/or Cadence Innovus.

These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
