QA Automation Engineer II

Job Summary:

The QA Automation Engineer II ensures the delivery of high-quality software by defining and executing test cases for front-end and back-end systems to maintain client satisfaction. This role requires a professional with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, in order to analyze issues and determine root cause and set automation goals. Experience in automating test processes and estimating outcomes is essential. The QA Automation Engineer II collaborates effectively in a hybrid in office/remote team environment and is committed to continuous learning.

Job Responsibilities:

• Validate and certify UI and back-end changes for various strategic initiatives and feature enhancements with quality, while ensuring business requirements and client expectations are met
  
• Participate in the development and execution of automated tests for UI, functional, API, database, file load, etc. tests/testing to ensure software quality and efficiency in the development lifecycle.
  
• Break down business requirements and user stories into well-defined and comprehensive functional test plans, test cases, and automation-ready test scripts
  
• Participate in manual and automated testing of enhancements, strategic initiatives, and reported defects
  
• Automate, organize, and maintain automated and manual test scripts
  
• Able to understand In-house developed Automation frameworks, setting up the code base and test script execution
  
• Proactively escalate high priority issues and follow through with resolution
  
• Perform effective Root Cause Analysis and work with team on any corrective actions
  
• Identify, record, and track progress of defects and enhancements with clarity and accuracy
  
• Ensure bugs and client-reported issues are triaged and tested per SLA
  
• Effectively create metrics and data from Jira to communicate within the team and with internal stakeholders on status of deliverables and key client initiatives
  
• Participate in scrum ceremonies, always acting in the capacity of a QA Ambassador, ensuring high standards of quality in all team activities and decisions
  
• Support at least one scrum team or specific module functionality
  
• Develop a thorough understanding of the wealth platform to better understand testing needs and client expectations
  
• Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested
  
• As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject
  
• 3-5 years of experience in software development utilizing Agile methodologies
  
• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  
• 3+ years’ experience with backend testing/API testing using Postman
  
• 3 + years hands-on automation experience with Selenium WebDriver and Page Object Model Structure
  
• 3+ years of experience on writing automation tests in Java Script (node.js, React.js)
  
• Expertise with CI/CD based environment
  
• Expertise in developing and executing test plans and test cases, test strategies, test schedules, test estimations, and bug tracking management.
  
• Experience in creating and executing SQL scripts
