We’re in growth mode and looking to add a dynamic Senior Software Engineer to our PayNearMe team. This position will report to the Director, Core Applications.

As a senior engineer on our applications team, you will have significant responsibility, owning code that enables our business partners and consumers to move billions of dollars.

Job Description

• A strong command of Ruby and Rails (with an understanding of the boundaries between them)
• Experience working in a large codebase and communicating about code
• The ability to make practical decisions with good judgment when faced with design constraints
• A commitment to writing well-tested code that considers security, performance, and resilience
• To show respect and support for team members of all levels and backgrounds, with openness to both teaching and learning
• Payments, financial applications, or any industry subject to government regulation
• Modularizing monolithic applications
• Solving complex performance problems
• Performant front end implementations without large frameworks
• Design patterns that support long-term sustainability
