Job Description

REQUIRED TO RELOCATE TO ROSEVILLE, CA

We're seeking an ASIC Verification Manager with over 10 years of experience in Storage and/or Networking, and a proven record in leading global teams. This key role requires deep ASIC verification knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage a diverse, international engineering team. The successful candidate will oversee ASIC verification for NVMe over Fabrics, collaborate with Firmware teams for Co-simulation, handle FPGA build setups, and perform detailed gate, timing, power, and coverage simulations. Essential experience includes deploying advanced ethernet and PCIe VIPs from companies like Cadence & Synopsys.

Applicants must be locally based in the Greater Sacramento area (CA), OR be open to relocating to the AREA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Team Leadership: Manage and lead a diverse, global team of ASIC verification engineers, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment. Ensure effective communication and coordination across different geographical locations.
  • Specialized Verification Strategy: Develop and oversee the implementation of verification strategies for ASICs in the area of NVMe over Fabrics, leveraging your extensive experience in networking and storage.
  • Technical Expertise in ASIC Verification: Provide technical leadership in the verification of complex ASIC designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications in the NVMe over Fabrics domain.
  • Gate & Timing simulations:  Manage the team to execute comprehensive gate-level simulations, including timing and power analysis, to validate the ASIC design before tape-out.
  • RTL Coverage Analysis:  Manage the team to deliver detailed coverage metrics to assess the thoroughness of the test suite. Offer actionable feedback to test writers and design engineers, focusing on identifying gaps and suggesting enhancements to elevate test effectiveness and broaden coverage scope.
  • Lab and Simulation Coordination: Reproduce lab HW test environment issues using simulations. Provide insights and solutions to complex hardware-software interaction problems.
  • Firmware Collaboration: Work closely with Firmware teams to conduct Co-simulations, ensuring seamless integration and functionality between hardware and firmware components.
  • FPGA environment Proficiency: Oversee and contribute to FPGA build environments, ensuring that verification processes are robust and efficient.
  • Cross-Cultural Management: Navigate and manage cultural differences within the global team, promoting a cohesive and productive work culture.
  • Quality Assurance and Process Optimization: Uphold the highest standards of verification quality. Initiate and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and effectiveness, adapting to the nuances of a global team.
  • Mentorship and Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, identifying training needs and opportunities for growth. Build a pipeline of future leaders within the team.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: A MINUMUM of 10 years in
