Job Description
The Multilingual Compliance Manager role is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has extensive experience with managing LPAC compliance documentation and language assessments; who believes that compliance provides the baseline to equity for multilingual learners; and who is committed to advancing the academic achievement of emergent bilingual learners.
The Multilingual Compliance Manager will have the opportunity to play a significant role in supporting the implementation of the Bilingual and ESL programs compliance requirements throughout KIPP Texas. Collaborating with various shareholders to ensure accurate documentation and execution of all requirements throughout the school year.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides LPAC compliance guidance to campus administrators, campus multilingual specialists and teachers.
Collaborates with Regional Program Managers to address compliance needs specific to emergent bilingual learners and support implementation of Bilingual/ESL state/district assessment and data collection programs.
Manages ELLevation implementation for assigned campuses
Compiles and tracks district and campus program data for multilingual students.
Collaborates with the Director of Multilingual Compliance, Regional Compliance Managers, Senior Director of Assessments, and campuses to conduct TELPAS audits.
Organizes and supports staff development sessions for compliance (LPACs, ELLevation, TELPAS, etc.).
Supports parent training sessions for LPAC representatives in English and Spanish.
Collaborates with PEIMS department to ensure proper coding of students in Bilingual and ESL programs.
Conducts ongoing campus and online audits to validate compliance documents and reports.
Coordinates oral language proficiency assessment to monitor students’ performance in Bilingual and ESL programs.
Designs support systems for campus emergent bilingual learner data collection and responds to campus requests as needed.
Collaborates with campus Multilingual Specialists in the LPAC process ensuring procedures and paperwork are maintained.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (required), Master’s degree Preferred
3+ years of experience teaching in an ESL or Bilingual setting (K-12 preferred)
3+ years successful experience in leading LPAC campus/district implementation
TEA LPAC Framework Training
Valid Bilingual Education Certification and/or ESL Supplemental Certification (preferred)
Experience with planning and presenting staff development presentations at campus/district level
Previous experience leading LPAC compliance for Bilingual/ESL department preferred
COMPETENCY AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of state and federal guidelines and policies for Bilingual and ESL programs
Experience with evaluation of EB compliance documentation and LPACs
Knowledge of ELLevation, preferred
Knowledge of language assessments such as TELPAS, Pre-LAS, LAS Links and IOWA, preferred
Expertise in Skyward (preferred) and PEIMS
Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
