Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking candidates for the position of Principal / Sr. Principal Factory Manufacturing Execution Systems Engineer to support advanced technology development programs. This position is located at the Linthicum, MD location.

What You’ll get to Do:

  • Plan and support the setup and integration of a manufacturing execution system (MES) for a new superconducting electronics wafer fabrication line
  • Maintain awareness of MES setup and integration schedule risk and proactively escalate risk to team leads as required
  • Create detailed end-user requirements and acceptance test plans, while leveraging experience and business processes from semiconductor manufacturing organizations
  • Partner with an industry-leading vendor in setting up an MES to support a new wafer fab manufacturing line
  • Collaborate with the vendor on deploying manufacturing master data modeling architectures and Best-Known Methods (BKMs)
  • Apply systems engineering best practices, principles, and concepts to architectures within a manufacturing context
  • Work collaboratively with other experienced team members

This is a dual level requisition which can be filled as a Principal or Sr. Principal Factory Manufacturing Execution Systems Engineer

Basic Qualifications for Principal Factory Manufacturing Execution Systems Engineer:

  • A degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years of experience with a master’s degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD
  • Able to support execution of Statement of Work (SOW) components with vendors and work cross functionally within a team
  • Demonstrated experience with modern automated factory systems in a semiconductor or microelectronics fab
  • Strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills
  • Understands data relationships between products, plans, recipes, and varying levels of manufacturing containers (lots, wafers, die, etc.)
  • Experience with core data groups in MES systems (equipment, products, consumables, etc.)
  • Must be willing to work on site 100% of time
  • Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required
  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance per business requirements
