About Team:
As a world-renowned VR/AR brand with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, Pico has been at the forefront of the consumer electronic market. We have teams in Northern America, Europe, Japan and South Korea. We are looking for a creative Optical Systems Engineer to join us to build our AR/VR display optics system team, to develop and lead new optical module development for Pico products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop display optics system functions that improve optical performance and system cost
- Work closely across optics, display, mechanical, and other cross-functional engineering teams to define, develop, and test optical system prototypes
- Develop advanced optical metrology systems for optical performance characterization
- Push forward cross-functional engineering effort on display optics system performance advancement
- Create and maintain engineering specifications.
- Specify key performance indicators, test methods, and test requirements for components and systems.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in optical engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience in development of optical testing and metrology systems.
- Experience in at least one of the following: Image quality evaluation, Stray light molding and analysis, Camera module
or lens testing and characterization, Imaging optics design and manufacturing, Illumination optics design and
manufacturing, Display/backlight design and development, Polarization, or Visual Optics.
- Experience communicating and collaborating in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience using both logical and creative thinking to solve problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in optical engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in developing and launching products in relevant fields in consumer electronics
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $126000 - $306000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
