We are looking for a highly experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer to lead and scale our DevOps function across a growing engineering organization. This role will combine hands-on DevOps expertise with technical leadership, team mentorship, and strategic infrastructure design to support both legacy and modern application stacks.

You will be responsible for leading a team of DevOps engineers, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and setting best practices that enhance delivery speed, quality, and system reliability. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both legacy .NET-based environments and modern containerized ecosystems using Azure, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

What We're Looking For:

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

  • Serve as the DevOps subject matter expert, mentoring software engineers and equipping them to adopt and maintain modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure solutions.
  • Define, communicate, and enforce DevOps standards across the team, including coding conventions, release processes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies, and automation guidelines, to ensure consistency and quality.

CI/CD & Application Delivery

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support both legacy .NET Framework applications and modern microservices.
  • Ensure seamless build, test, release, and rollback flows with automated quality checks and scalable deployment strategies.
  • Drive modernization efforts by containerizing legacy systems and deploying them to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture

  • Own and manage cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, including VMs, networking, load balancing, and managed services.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ensuring modularity, reusability, and security compliance.
  • Ensure cost optimization, performance monitoring, and security best practices are followed.

Architecture & Documentation

  • Create and continuously update infrastructure and deployment architecture diagrams, documents, and SOPs.
  • Present and share designs with developers, architects, and product stakeholders; gather feedback and incorporate changes.
  • Maintain visibility into all environments and ensure architectural consistency across services.

Collaboration & SDLC Support

  • Work closely with software engineering, QA, product, and security teams to align infrastructure with application roadmaps.
  • Participate in sprint planning and architectural reviews, adapting infrastructure design to evolving SDLC priorities.
  • Identify risks, estimate timelines, and own the execution plan for infrastructure and DevOps initiatives.

You Will:

  • 6+ years of hands-on DevOps and infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Proven experience leading DevOps teams or mentoring senior engineers.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, including AKS, VMs, networking, monitoring, and security.
  • Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
  • Experience maintaining legacy .NET Framework web applications and migrating them to containerized environments.
  • Deep understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for production deployments.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create clear, actionable design documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing and operating hybrid
