Job Description

The Test Manager will develop high level proposed UAT Test strategies with all internal and external parties based on the pre-agreed project/programme plans. The successful candidate should be hands on, able to contribute individually and should have experience within a fast pace dynamic environment.  Requires a candidate with drive and personal commitment

Key Responsibilities:

• Work within a large team
• Good time management skills - Have ability to work on more than one project at a time, and often against tight deadlines
• Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders - clients, steering group - to communicate accomplishments, plans and issues as well as any risks to the project’s progress.
• Support the team on project planning-related activities
• Demonstrate strong leadership and manage the milestones and deliverables for the test work-stream
• Document and manage risks and assumptions in RAID Log
• Prepare UAT Strategy documents
• Obtain sign-off from relevant parties to this key document
• Liaise with other team members – the Subject Matter Experts – for necessary information around the application
• Creation of UAT test cases based on the information extracted from team members, and based on previous projects in the programme, incorporating any lessons learned
• Creation of Smoke and Regression test cases/runs specific to each project
• Give guidance and training in the use of Jira and TestRail to the testers where required
• Test planning including resources, scope and schedule  
• Organise and host triage and issue review meetings with the clients and 3rd party
• Test management and monitoring
• Monitor and manage Jira tickets
• Support the test teams
• Work with the 3rd party supplier of the application on resolution of issues - Push the supplier to perform and to provide information
• Regularly report on test progress to the Senior Responsible Officer, as well as the project team
• Write up UAT Exit Documents (UAT, Pre-Live)
• Obtain sign-off from relevant parties to these key documents
• Prepare and present test outcomes and reports to the stakeholders
• Drive UAT/test process improvements and ensure high standards are consistently reinforced and challenge others in maintaining standards

Qualifications

• ISTQB or similar Test Management qualification
• Familiarity with Jira and TestRail (beneficial)
• Familiarity with the PeopleXD suite of Applications or HR/Payroll (beneficial)
