Role Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Zoetis Tech and Digital (ZTD) Project Delivery and Technical Operations team and support external service providers as well as the Zoetis ZTD infrastructure, functional and integration teams to assist in design, build, implement and sustain systems and solutions to support the global Animal Health business.

• Provide advanced Basis support and independently resolve incidents reported.
• Work with ZTD Delivery and Operations team members, Global Infrastructure team, Compliance, Security and Network teams to determine requirements for business continuity (DR), system availability and performance improvements.
• Provide technical expertise in design and implementation of solutions that improve business functionality and productivity using technology at an Enterprise Level.
• Provide technical insight in resolution of SAP Basis, HANA related issues focusing on root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans and ensuring successful resolution.
• Ensuring adherence to Service Level agreements (SLAs) with minimal oversight from Senior Management
• Ability to communicate performance recommendations and implement solutions independently.
• Participate and drive key deliverables with NTT and the SAP RISE team.
• Work closely with job automation team to support and monitor executions and troubleshooting when failure may occur.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Operation and Leadership

• Provide advanced SAP Basis support and independently resolve incidents.
• Offer technical insight for resolving SAP Basis and HANA-related issues, focusing on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead technical project production cutovers and production system troubleshooting from a Basis standpoint.
• Ensure system performance monitoring, tuning, and critical job monitoring.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Data Volume Management (DVM), HANA implementations, and FIORI projects.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

• Work with ZTD Delivery and Operations teams, Global Infrastructure, Compliance, Security, and Network teams to determine requirements for business continuity, system availability, and performance improvements.
• Align and set expectations with service providers on ongoing initiatives within Zoetis.
• Participate and drive key deliverables with NTT and the SAP RISE team.
• Coordinate with the job automation team for routine maintenance, upgrades, and monitoring of BOT executions.

Project and Operations Management

• Ensure all new infrastructure setups at the hosting provider follow the IQ protocol for installations and submit to compliance upon completion for approvals.
• Perform system refreshes and participate in scheduling refresh activities with stakeholders.
• Lead Data Archiving activities of SAP systems.
• Participate in Red Team activities, driving root cause analysis for incidents impacting operations.
• Lead the remediation of system vulnerabilities identified by Onapsis and Solution Manager.

Knowledge Transfer

• Work with internal audit and compliance to ensure processes and procedures align with company policies, SOPs, IQs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Create and maintain documentation related to infrastructure, architectural diagrams, processes, procedures, and interfaces, updating as required.
• Train and transfer knowledge to ICC team members, users, and stakeholders as required.
• Stay updated on new tools and technologies being implemented to support the global organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical, System Administration, IT Infrastructure Managements or Business field
• MS or MBA preferred.
• 12-14 years of Enterprise SAP Basis Administration experience with multiple full life cycle implementations out of which 3-4 years of hands-on HANA experience.
• Thorough understanding of computer infrastructure and operations, including cloud-based solutions.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work in an unstructured environment.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings.
