This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Job Summary
This position is responsible for executing the Dealer Operations Consulting team’s strategy to build an accountable, performance-driven dealer culture that drives increased sales, implements retail best practices, and delivers impeccable customer experiences in alignment with Harley-Davidson’s strategic imperatives and growth plans. The incumbent supports the continued development and implementation of dealer best practices and the implementation and sharing of these best practices throughout the dealer network. The Lead executes a strategy that measurably improves the vehicle sales and profitability of participating dealers. That is accomplished by coordinating Motor Company resources across divisions and helping with the dealer operations consulting meetings, third-party moderators, and budget.
Job Responsibilities
- Consults one-on-one with dealers on sales processes, lead follow-up and prospecting, department goal setting and planning, as well as customer experience enhancement.
- A company advocate and expert on how to successfully implement dealer capabilities through specific measurements to improve dealer operations and profit.
- Works with key stakeholders to proactively identify and implement innovative new approaches/practices.
- Maintaining a level of interaction with the end customer allows this position to ensure that the strategic sales direction developed by this role is appropriately implemented.
- Partners with stakeholders to enhance the customer experience through the growth of the Dealer Network's vehicle sales force’s capabilities.
- Promotes collaborating across the company to develop and design the associated marketing efforts for the country market and regional sales to create awareness and understanding of the value of performance consulting.
- Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and delivering vehicle sales process acumen and execution to support the achievement of both retail and wholesale vehicle sales objectives.
- Supports efforts to cascade learnings and best practices through HDU tools, field training and communications, and dealer network-wide initiatives to facilitate best practice sharing to affect change and increase sales.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree PreferredEducation Specifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of dealership financial systems/operations.
- Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Experience working directly with dealership staff, preferably dealership owners and managers.
- Ability to develop effective business relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to understand dealer issues and respond diplomatically.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- The position requires up to 25-50% travel.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers, and the dealer network
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Preferred
- Retail experience in the industry (automotive, motorcycle) is preferred.
