Job Summary

art of a larger team delivering high-quality computer, network, storage, and end-user infrastructure solutions, including MECM and Citrix environments. Independently completes infrastructure projects by planning, researching, designing, and engineering the enterprise's technology infrastructure. Provides technical support, troubleshooting, cost estimates, and recommendations. Produces technical documentation and manages, plans, and maintains technical platforms, including system upgrades. Monitors system performance and configures hardware. Collaborates with project managers, architects, solution engineers, technicians, and business analysts to deliver consistent and reliable technology solutions that adhere to AEP's standards and best practices.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with virtualization operations and engineering teams to gather requirements and develop and deploy end-user compute services.

• Contribute to the organization's technology plan by ensuring the effective integration of network security infrastructure and working with technology teams and vendors to deliver comprehensive solutions.

• Design, upgrade, and troubleshoot the end-user compute environment based on capacity needs, while staying informed about industry trends to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality technology.

• Implement tools for configuration management, service provisioning, inventory and resource management, process automation, and self-service.

• Utilize SCCM, Intune, and JAMF technologies to support end-user compute services.

What We're Looking For:

Infrastructure Engineer Senior (SG7):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required. 

Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Infrastructure Engineer Principal (SG8):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Experience: 7 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Nice-to-have:

• Proficient in: Citrix DaaS, Citrix NetScaler, and VMware ESXi.

• Strong understanding of: Multi-site non-persistent and persistent end-user computing (EUC) environments.

Location: Prefer candidate to live within 50 miles of Columbus, OH

Compensation Grade:

Compensation Range:

$85,081.00-106,352.50 USD

Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidate’s ability to work from an approved work location. Although the location is flexible, AEP does not have a presence in all states and localities. The following locations are NOT currently approved for this position: AK, CO, CT, DE, HI, IA, ID, KS, MA, ME, MS, MT, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OR, RI, SD, UT, VT, WY, US Territories or international work locations.
