JOB TITLE:   

NAERCC Student Office Aide

JOB PURPOSE:   

To provide assistance with the operation of the NAERCC including programming, student lab, tutoring, and assist all programs (NAERCC, NASI, HPAIRI and NAIS) housed within the NAERCC as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Assist in maintaining the NAERCC and working closely with faculty, staff and students. Be available to keep the center open on weekends and after hours. Provide tutoring and assistance to students who use the NAERCC. Give tours and host guests in the NAERCC. Assist with programming events in the NAERCC. Work closely with other PT Student workers, interns, etc.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:  

Help NAERCC staff as needed with special projects and events.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

· Must be full-time student (12 hours undergraduate, or 9 hours graduate)

· Must maintain a 2.5 GPA (3.0 for graduate students) or above during term

· Ability to maintain relations with various students, staff, departments, teams, and the community

· Outgoing person who easily communicates with others

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational skills

· Self-motivated, willing to take the initiative to complete tasks

· Experience with promotion and marketing of events preferred

· Flexible Schedule including weekend availability

· Experience with working closely with peers and other students with tutoring in all subject areas and basic writing skills 

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

· Experience with event planning a plus

· Experience with budgeting a plus

· While not required, priority consideration is given to those who have been active students in NAERCC events and are familiar with programming.
