Technical Support Engineer

Key Role:

Supports day-to-day remote technical aspects of product operational data to identify diagnostic issues in enough detail to determine if the root cause is hardware or software related. Applies advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction and mentors and may supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience supporting systems development and maintenance activities across the SDLC lifecycle

• 5+ years of experience working in a technical role in a lab or facility setting supporting networking and equipment troubleshooting

• Experience with operating and troubleshooting of networking technologies, such as switches, access points, WiFi, Bluetooth, CAT6 ethernet, or fiberoptic

• Experience with operating and troubleshooting of lab or facility equipment that includes cameras, lighting, and audio systems

• Experience with troubleshooting software systems that interface with equipment to setup test procedures and facilitate data collection

• Ability to conduct briefings to senior level leadership

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with concert or theatre venue operations

• Experience with consulting

• Experience with the military

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with non-technical audiences

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
