The Role:
The Director, M&A Integration will play a pivotal role in designing and executing various M&A-integration programs and initiatives to materially expand the reach of the company and its wholly owned operating businesses. This is a highly visible role across the organization and requires frequent discussions with senior executives at our holding company and business units.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee Fanatics Inc.’s integration capability that will facilitate the successful planning, execution and completion of M&A integration projects focused on both enterprise-wide transformations and customer-oriented initiatives
- Work closely with the M&A team during diligence, providing guidance and strategic advice on post-close integration activities (across all functions) and value-creation plans
- Own and continue to evolve the Fanatics’ M&A Integration playbook and associated assets; enhance our existing framework to account for lessons learned and best practices that can be used for future acquisitions
- Develop comprehensive integration strategies and cross-functional plan for M&A deals across Fanatics; partner closely with IT, HR, Finance, Procurement (and other) functional teams to ensure plans are documented and executed efficiently and on time
- Identify key integration issues early in the deal process and develop associated mitigation strategies to remediate risks that enable Fanatics to drive successful execution against financial goals envisioned in the deal thesis
- Oversee and drive successful execution against M&A integration plans by tracking milestones, making key recommendations to stakeholders, and holding cross-functional teams accountable for the execution of deliverables
- Prepare a quarterly Integration KPI Dashboard to be shared with executive leadership across Fanatics’ and its subsidiaries
- Influence business leadership to implement key recommended approaches and programs
- Step into Strategic Programs (when needed), driving key decisions with a focus on execution and on-time delivery
- Ensure projects are set up for success by aligning on the project vision, establishing the governing body, and defining the project approach for successful project delivery
- Support broader M&A team on ad hoc financial and industry analysis on a periodic basis
What We're Looking For:
- 10+ Years of M&A Integration experience, with at least 5 years of experience leading cross-functional M&A programs
- Must have experience with ERP implementation / remediation
- Experience across the entire M&A deal lifecycle (e.g., Due Diligence, Day 1 Planning, Post-Close Integration, Value Creation, etc.)
- A deep and thorough understanding of M&A programs and ability to navigate across both the holding company and subsidiary leade
