Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Office 365 Solutions Engineer/Architect to lead the design and implementation of Office 365 services to meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Office 365 workloads, administration, scripting, solutioning, and will be assigned Global Tenant admin rights. Candidate will need to lead small teams, and work with multiple stakeholders in a global organization.

The Senior Office 365 Solutions Engineer/Architect will be trusted to,

  • Administer and manage the organization's Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, Power Platform, and related services.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, reliability, and security of the Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • Support licensing management and assignments with the Software Asset Management team.
  • Perform regular audits to monitor and optimize Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online usage and security.
  • Plan, pilot, implement and communicate updates and new features released by Microsoft for user services.
  • Manage mail hygiene settings in coordination with the IT Security team.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and stakeholders to define and implement Microsoft 365 user services to improve the user experience and productivity.
  • Manage integration between Microsoft 365/Exchange Online and other systems.
  • Collaborate with the IT security team to ensure security standards and policies are implemented and adhered to within the Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online environments.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end users for Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online related issues.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Incorporates Best Practices and lessons learned into applications and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years experience
    Working experience in a Fortune 500 company
  • Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 Engineer/Architect and Global Tenant admin or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of Office 365 suite and related technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of Exchange Online, Entra ID, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, and Power Automate services, administration tools, and security features
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, Active Directory, and cloud computing principles
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Broad knowledge base of Microsoft 365 technical architecture and the inter dependencies with other enterprise services in Microsoft 365
  • Cisco IronPort experience preferred
  • Relevant certifications in Office 365 or related fields a plus
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
