Job Description:

The Senior Finance Operations Manager - Online Education Partnerships is responsible for managing the financial operations associated with Online students enrolled through third-party partnerships. This role involves reconciling student billing and tuition information to ensure accurate invoicing, timely collection of payments, and adherence to internal and external financial policies. Additionally, this position will manage and independently reconcile all internal tuition discount programs offered by LSU Online. The Finance Operations Manager will also provide support to the Business Office with various operational and billing tasks as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

Reconciliation of Student Billing: Oversee and enhance the reconciliation of billing and tuition records for Online students enrolled through third-party partnerships. Ensure accuracy of financial data, aligning it with student enrollment, course completion, and program participation records. Lead the reconciliation process for all internal tuition discount programs, implimenting best practicies to ensure proper application and accounting. 20%

Financial Reporting and Analysis: Lead the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial reports that provide a clear overview of billing, collections, and reconciliation processes for internal stakeholders. Conduct in-depth analyses of financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for operational enhancements. 20%

Partner and Internal Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters for the OCE partnership team related to third-party partnerships, expertly navigating the terms and conditions of the partnership agreements regarding eligibility and financial benefits. Foster strong collaborations with internal departments, including Enrollment, Bursar and IT, to ensure seamless data integration and accuracy in financial reporting. Proactively engage with the Business Office to streamline operational and billing tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of financial processes.Drive cross-departmental initiatives to align objectives and promote best practices in financial management, ensuring that partnership outcomes are maximized and aligned with institutional goals. 20%

Invoicing and Collection: Review and maintain accurate invoices to third-party partners, ensuring all tuition and fees are billed correctly. Strategically monitor accounts receivable to drive the timely collection of payments from both partners and students. Collaborate closely with the Accounts Receivable & Bursar team to address and resolve any discrepancies or delays in payment collection. Additionally, provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on trends and challenges related to invoicing and collections. 15%

Process Improvement:Lead initiatives to identify and implement improvements to the financial operations, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and partner satisfaction. Develop and standardize comprehensive operating procedures (SOPs) for financial operations related to third-party partnerships and tuition discount programs. Work with other campus partners to build best practices and consistency for on-boarding and execution of new partnership agreements. Drive a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating existing processes, integrating feedback from partners, and leveraging data to inform strategic decisions that align with institutional goals. 10%

Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering a collaborative work environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to support growth. Oversee the allocation of projects and tasks among the analysts, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained. Review and validate work performed by analysts, providing strategic insights and recommendations. 10%
