About the role

How Global Sourcing Enablement contributes to Cardinal Health
Global Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost, and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers, and patients. Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization, and risk mitigation.

The Global Sourcing Enablement Team is responsible for data analytics, should costing, and identifying cost savings opportunities to improve supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical solutions that aid in the proper allocation of resources, identify possible risks that drive business decisions, and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage.

  • Solves complex problems and delivers on business initiatives and processes by applying subject matter expertise and technical knowledge of the business. Identifies possible solutions to various technical problems and takes actions to resolve them.

  • Develop plans to drive progress toward business goals and objectives. 

  • Develop reports, and dashboard / visual insights that might need the use of data inputs through using coding language and or data mapping

  • Work with the Information Technology team to help create new functionality within TRACtion or Suplari

  • Monitor and report on plan progress, outcomes of initiatives, and the impact of issues, adjusting priorities as necessary to achieve business goals.

  • Process and project management skills needed to propose and develop data lifecycle and cost analysis models in alignment with cross-functional teams to interpret data and/or information to identify business opportunities, derive insights, and measure outcomes.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact and collaborate with personnel at various levels of expertise on a global landscape.

  • Collaborate with and influence internal business partners in a highly matrix environment to optimize supplier network, performance, and innovation.

  • Driven and motivated with a strong attention to detail. Independently execute projects of large scope and complexity with sound reasoning and accuracy.

  • Support regulatory, audit, and internal business data needs, as necessary, and ensure compliance with Enterprise Data Management standards.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 8 years of experience in related field

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics or Computer Information Science or related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable developing, executing, and visualizing data analysis.

  • Results-oriented, problem solver, strategic thinker, and able to work in a team environment.

  • Comfortable working with MS applications, Tableau Server/Prep, Google Cloud, SQL, Phyton, Alteryx, Oracle Agile, and SAP.

  • Experience developing creative and innovative analytical insights with high business value.

  • Proficient in Lean methodology to drive process improvement changes

Anticipated salary range: $65,500 - $98,175
