Senior Manager, Chief of Staff - Card Data, Models, & Credit

The Chief of Staff team for Card Data, Models, & Credit (DMC) has the exciting opportunity to create the operating model, strategy, and key cultural components of the organization that drives US Card’s analytics. Card DMC’s vision is to lead the industry through data-powered solutions for our customers, and our COS team plays a key role in executing on that vision by: 

  • Building “One Team” through culture & associate experience

  • Solidifying DMC management practices

  • Developing an externally facing (US Card) value proposition for DMC

  • Leading initiatives with Enterprise and Card level impact (Card DIB, Credit Rotation Program, Gen AI use case prioritization for US Card)

The Role

The role is an individual contributor aligned to Card Data Now (CDN). The key objectives and responsibilities for the role revolve around Strategy, Operations, and Talent. You will lead CDN’s strategic planning, as well as the Divisional Data Office (DDO) for US Card, where you will connect Enterprise and Divisional DDO partners, including DMC, to advocate for areas that CDN uniquely provides value to Capital One. Further, you will be responsible for designing and sustaining CDN’s management practices to empower CDN to drive high quality and throughput results/impact. Finally, you will partner with the CDN LT on ongoing Talent Health conversations, including reimagining how we leverage mobility and rotational programs. As part of the larger COS team, you will also be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and iterating on our shared management practices across DMC.

Success in the role will require strong communication skills including preparing and delivering well-designed presentations; a demonstrated ability to communicate across a diverse group of stakeholders spanning multiple levels of the organization; a strong ability to maintain a strategic mindset while providing excellent attention to detail to ensure seamless execution across multiple priorities; and dedication to providing quality results and relationships that uphold our team’s brand as trusted and respected horizontal partners that do the right thing and deliver excellence. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is curious and eager to work in the white space and has strong verbal and written communication skills. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 3 years of experience with G Suite 

  • At least 3 years of experience in Project Management 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • 4+ years of experience in Project Management, Relationship Management, or Strategy

  • 4+ years of stakeholder management experience
