Description

The Verily Test Infrastructure team is critical to the success of Verily. Our team is responsible for building robust, reliable and reusable test infrastructure that enables test automation for all Verily products. Our work has a significantly positive impact on the software development lifecycle for all Verily engineering teams. We ensure Verily achieves high release velocity but also launches products that are of the highest quality.

Responsibilities 

  • Own and drive the vision, design and development of mobile test infrastructure for Verily.
  • Design/Develop/Maintain automated testing frameworks, integrate test tools and systems, and ensure their reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of the test infrastructure, identify and resolve technical issues related to testing.
  • Influence feature development teams to integrate maximum test automation into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) process.
  • Drive best practices/guidelines on automated testing across teams.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience in software engineering.
  • Passionate about test frameworks/infrastructure and product quality.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining reliable, scalable and secure software products and services in production in Go, Java, C++ or similar general-purpose object-oriented programming languages.
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms and system design with strong analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the mobile (iOS preferred) application development process.
  • Experience with mobile test automation frameworks such as Espresso, UI Automator or EarlGrey.
  • Experience with cloud deployment technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform/AWS/Azure or other cloud providers, Terraform, or related tools.
  • Experience with microservices, software delivery platforms, DevOps, continuous integration, and release management processes.
  • Experience with shipping highest quality products in the regulated health care industry.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $148,000-212,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
