Commercial Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Support Business Development in the Project Management review of Energy Storage project proposals according to Wartsila guidelines.
• Manage or create firm MS Project schedule for all project proposals.
• Lead Schedule Review Board meetings weekly.
• Plan required project resources for project execution of the project and give feedback to proposal team to incorporate labor hours into cost budget.
• Review and provide red-line changes to Energy storage customer contracts.
• Ensure new proposals get set up in Wartsila project software systems.
• Support Project Manager’s as they are assigned to the proposal by answering any questions they may have about the contract and customer.
• Create project schedule milestone and all required milestone certificate documents for contract.  Lead review of project Division of Responsibility document.
• Develop risk strategy and plan.
• Support Business Development Manager communication with production team, customer, and procurement.
• Participate in customer meetings and negotiations. Establish and maintain excellent customer relationship .
• Participate in project lessons learned meetings.  Incorporate any required changes into proposal development process.
• Lead efforts to improve proposal costs and decrease schedule timeframe.
• Manage other Commercial PM’s by providing training and mentorship.

 

 

Requirements/Desired Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelors or Masters of Science in Engineering (or similar)
• Minimum 2 years Senior Project Management experience
• Minimum 5 years in Project Management and 3 years in Battery Storage or similar technical experience
• Minimum 3 years in contract negotiation of highly complex technical projects
• Minimum 3 years in risk management
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills 
• Cost awareness & effectiveness
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Proactive attitude and positive Can-Do mind-set
• PMP preferred
