We believe that housing is the foundation for thriving communities. Our team is bold, determined, creative, and inclusive, working every day to make sure that safe, affordable housing is not just an idea, but a reality.

Your Role
As a Maintenance Technician I, you play an essential role in keeping our apartment community safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. You’re the go-to person for day-to-day maintenance needs, helping ensure our residents love where they live. From quick fixes to preventative care, your work directly impacts the quality of our community.

What You’ll Do
Maintenance, Repairs, and Property Care

  • Complete routine maintenance and service requests in residents’ apartments and common areas safely and efficiently, including emergency, on-call, make-ready, preventative, inspection, routine, and resident-requested repairs.
  • Assist with apartment turns, including clean-outs and make-readies for new move-ins, performing basic repairs such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliances.
  • Help maintain clean, safe, and organized maintenance shops, mechanical and service rooms, and storage areas.
  • Work collaboratively with property management and maintenance teams, and vendors.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to help reduce long-term issues and downtime; perform basic scheduled maintenance on tools, equipment, and building systems as assigned.
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and fair housing guidelines.
  • Support the team with additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned, in response to evolving operational and business needs.

Grounds & Seasonal Responsibilities

  • Help maintain attractive, safe grounds by removing debris, rubbish, and hazards.
  • Perform landscaping tasks as needed, including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, watering, and leaf removal.
  • Assist with snow removal, ice control, and ice melt application and be available during snow events to ensure safe access to sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways.

How You Work

  • You take pride in your work and pay attention to the details.
  • You manage your time well and can handle multiple tasks throughout the day.
  • You communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, teammates, and supervisors.
  • You’re dependable, accountable, and open to learning new skills.
  • You approach problems with a solution-oriented mindset.

Your Work Environment

You’ll work both indoors and outdoors across the apartment community, including residential units, mechanical rooms, and common areas. This role is hands-on and active, often requiring standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, and working in a variety of weather conditions. No two days are the same, and that’s part of what makes the role rewarding.
