Our Ways of Working

We have team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees. 

We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build those relationships with team members in other cities, we meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually. 

Note: For this particular role, we expect you to attend all major affiliate conferences throughout the year which we anticipate will be 4-5 times a year. 

What the Role Is

The Senior Manager, Affiliate Partnerships will own the highest level of day to day relationships with our existing affiliate partners, in addition to setting the vision and strategy for the future of the business. Reporting to the VP of Business Development you will play a key role in driving our affiliate partner program's success. You will be responsible for building  strategies and executing tactics to grow and optimize our affiliate partnerships to achieve our business goals. Ultimately, you will impact one of the foundational pillars of our business that help to create shopping experiences that our customers love. 

Who You Are

  • 7+ years of affiliate partnership management in the retail, registry and/or publisher space
  • Highly analytical and advanced experience in Excel; ability to review large data sets to identify discrepancies, opportunities, and forecast for the future 
  • Very skilled in analytics and has the ability to understand data and communicate insights clearly.
  • Experience working in affiliate networks such as Amazon Associates, Commission Junction, Impact, and Rakuten along with the sub-networks like Viglink
  • Experience creating win - win affiliate relationships with Babylist and client-direct affiliate partners to drive significant growth in Babylist affiliate revenue
  • Measures the ongoing effectiveness of the team's efforts against target metrics, and makes frequent adjustments to strategy to support the customer and business needs.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to educate and promote Babylist value proposition and technical nuances of Babylist business model to both new and existing clients 
  • Highly collaborative; adept at working across multiple teams with competing priorities 
  • Understands and communicates industry trends.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Manage the affiliate partner commerce and commissions goals for BabylistOwn the business by analyzing current affiliate performance and trends to optimize current performance and develop new programs based on data
  • Build and own reporting/dashboards to communicate forecasts of affiliate performance to the broader leadership team
  • Identify technical issues and liaise with cross-functional engineering partners to ensure resolution
  • Conduct financial analysis to understand business trends by retailer and category, opportunities, and clarity on future expected results
  • Maintain relationships with brands, networks and sub-networks to ensure understanding of Babylist business model and successful partnership 
  • Build affiliate hybrid rate cards and seasonal affiliate-driven opportunities
  • Liaise with ad operations and the Account Management team to ensure strategic alignment of remnant inventory and backfill
