About the role

GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

The part-time paraprofessional will be responsible for assisting in creating a learning environment that enables students in reaching their goals and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the school.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

§ Monitor virtual and In-person labs.

§ Critique student work

§ Assist students with projects.

§ Assist students with software and equipment.

§ Assist Faculty with grading including markups, printing work off Ivy Learn and entering grades into gradebook.

§ Proctor Assessment Exams

§ Run Study Sessions

§ Load documents and supplemental information into Ivy Learn.

§ Organize lab and samples.

§ Other responsibilities as assigned.

This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Program Chair, Department Chair, or Dean

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.

Hiring Range: $17-18/ hr.

Education, Experience And Other Requirements:

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or GED required.
