Job Description

Role Overview:

Are you ready to step into a dynamic role at the heart of patient care? We're looking for a talented Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our interdisciplinary peri-operative team, optimizing patients prior to their surgery or procedure in our Pre-Surgical Testing Department. This role involves in-person and telemedicine visits across the 8 MSK locations. You will collaborate will all of the surgical teams and department of anesthesia. Key Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited PA program
• NCCPA certification and BLS Certification
• Active NYS and NJS license or be qualified for state licensure
• 2 years of experience in surgical environments

OR

• Current New York State (NYS) and New Jersey State NJS RN and NP licenses/registrations
• Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
• Related National NP certification and BLS certification
• 2 years of Inpatient experience in surgical environments

Core skills:

• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, healthcare team members, surgical, anesthesia, and medical staff to ensure seamless collaboration and optimize patient care.
• Comprehensive Care: Provide thorough and multidisciplinary care to pre-surgical testing patients, addressing their medical needs and ensuring they are prepared for surgery.
• Assessment Expertise: Conduct detailed history and physical assessments, gathering crucial information to inform treatment plans and optimize patient outcomes.
• Optimization for Surgery: Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and medical teams to prepare and optimize patients for the Operating Room, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal surgical outcomes.

 

Additional information:

Hours: 4, 10 hour shifts per week Monday-Saturday 8am to 6pm

Location: Manhattan with potential to float to regional sites in NJ and NY

This opportunity is prioritizing APPs with surgical experience

 

Pay Range $144,000-182,000K
