Position Details:
You will be responsible for providing strategic direction and vision for the following three workstreams and leading the teams that execute the work.
- Building and implementing our early career strategy and all campus recruiting. Design the vision in alignment with our talent needs for today and the future, ensuring that we are building diverse early career pipelines for hiring and development programs.
- Designing and executing on our rotational program for early-in-career talent throughout our business. You will design the overall program, milestones, performance management, and rotations.
- Leading a team of Sourcing professionals that support our enterprise on critical roles and pipelining for new opportunities.
All three workstreams require strong stakeholder management. You will partner closely with the broader Talent Acquisition team as well as various levels of leadership up to the C suite and leadership at partner universities.
You will report to the Sr Director of Talent Acquisition and will lead 2 managers and an overall team of 15-20 to execute on the work aligned to this role.
You Will:
- Build a comprehensive enterprise-wide university relations strategy that supports the talent needs of Grainger as well as industry best practices.
- Create a stakeholder management strategy for our executive leadership teams and other key stakeholders.
- Partner across Talent Acquisition and our business functions to build branding within partner schools that ties to our overall strategy.
- Build cross functional recruitment teams who will facilitate hiring for interns and early career roles and manage intern / rotational programs.
- Monitor campus recruiting activity and results, providing frequent executive summaries and status updates.
- Design, manage and execute the facilitation of new and existing development programs.
- Leverage external best in class practices, recruitment strategies and professional organizations to benchmark and manage our impact.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years recruiting experience, including early-career / campus recruitment program leadership.
- Previous experience leading a team.
- Ability to travel 20% during fall and spring recruiting seasons within the United States.
- Ability to collaborate and influence with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Effective presentation skills in both group and one-on-one situations.
- Ability to leverage reporting metrics to identify trends and assess the overall performance of our programs.
