Job/Department Summary:
The Support Coordinator performs duties under general supervision but works independently to provide essential front line administrative support to the University Farm, in collaboration with the Farm AA/S and ASC I. This is a busy office that provides daily assistance to faculty, students and the community. Duties include agritourism, vehicle and equipment inventory, all types of personnel and state budget support, event planning, facility reservations and backup support for the AA/S and the ASC I.
Required Education and Experience:
This position requires fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. These qualifications, and those listed above, would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with three years of related office work experience.
Preferences:
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
- Familiarity or background with Agriculture.
- Three or more years of budget experience, including monitoring budget allocations, tracking purchase orders, and reconciliations.
- Recent experience with event planning or coordination.
- Two or more years recent experience providing administrative support to a large office as the main point of contact maintaining records, coordinating work orders and providing customer service to the general public.
Time Base: Full-time
Pay Plan: 12/12
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm
CSU Classification Salary Range: $48,564 (Step 1) - $70,752 (Step 20) per year.
