SAP Production Planning Lead

We are seeking a senior SAP Production Planning Lead to support large-scale manufacturing and plant-driven programs. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Production Planning capabilities that enable efficient manufacturing operations across multiple facilities.

The position leads the SAP Production Planning workstream for enterprise SAP initiatives, including system deployments, process improvements, and ongoing operational support. The work is hands-on, plant-facing, and tightly integrated with manufacturing and supply chain teams.

What you will do

Lead SAP Production Planning across global and multi-site SAP programs
Design and implement SAP PP and MRP solutions that support real manufacturing environments
Serve as the functional lead for Production Planning and Materials Management
Partner with internal stakeholders and external delivery partners to drive execution
Optimize SAP Production Planning configuration to meet business and operational needs
Define and gather requirements for new implementations and system enhancements
Lead functional design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities
Drive integration between SAP, MES, and PLM systems
Ensure quality, stability, and performance of SAP Production Planning processes
Own issue tracking, resolution, and delivery accountability
Support future SAP rollouts and continuous improvement initiatives

What we are looking for

7 plus years of experience in SAP Production Planning within manufacturing environments
Strong hands-on experience with SAP PP and MRP
Experience working across production planning, materials, and plant operations
Proven ability to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions from requirements through support
Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes and system integrations
Ability to work independently and lead workstreams in complex programs
Comfort collaborating with system integrators and third-party vendors

Technical and functional experience

MRP, ATP, BOM and routing development
Serial number tracking, repetitive and batch manufacturing
SAP PP technical and functional configuration
MES and PLM system integration
SAP Fiori applications within PP and MM
Integration testing and user acceptance testing

Preferred experience

Discrete manufacturing environments
Material master and data governance
Capacity planning
RF scanners and subcontracting processes
Inventory and warehouse integration
