Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled and proactive maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across various systems and equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a dedication to maintaining a safe, functional environment.

Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment as needed
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests
• Document maintenance activities and update service logs and records
• Assist with facility upgrades, renovations, and projects
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations during maintenance work
• Communicate with supervisors and team members about maintenance needs and priorities

Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Skills

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods
• Familiarity with building automation systems and maintenance management software is a plus

 

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required (technical school or trade certification preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance, mechanical repair, or related field
• Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems is highly desirable
• OSHA safety certification or training preferred
